Day Brake proudly presents his debut album 'Sunflower Experiment'.

This concept album tells the story of five people, involuntarily brought together in a beautiful, cosy garden as part of a social experiment. Here they are served with the most delicious food, the most expensive wine and the sweetest vibes, all under surveillance of The Law. Why? Because one of them is a thief – and of what I hear you ask? Well simple indeed! Of the one thing we al wear: socks. The Sunflower Experiment hits these five people in the guts like too much coco on a friday evening and every one of them opens up and tells their own unique story – or confession...

Five characters? This means five talented vocalists and a narrator. This way the LP presents a mysterious, interwoven story of five people who all know eachother in some kind of way. Each song brings a new piece of the puzzle and it’s up to the listener (yeah that’s you) to make the connections and figure out who the thief is.

Get ready for a musical mix of psychedelic rock, alt-pop, electronica, jazzy pop and a tiny bit of avant-garde with influences from Pink Floyd, Mac DeMarco, BADBADNOTGOOD, ...

In the end this album came together as a proud collaboration of seven talented musicians and personally I worked my juicy ass off to release a professional debut – fully in-house without the help of big money record labels but with the help of young passionate people who love making music.
